I am a mother of two, I love movement and mountains, and I care about things that work in practice — not only in slide decks. After almost nine years at GitLab, I left to work directly with the people I build for. I have fifteen years of production software experience. Today I do two things: I build custom web and mobile applications end to end for companies that need a product but do not have a dev team, and I embed as a senior contractor into existing dev teams that need more senior firepower than they have on payroll. When integrations, AI, or smaller automations are the right answer instead, I do those too. The common thread: I write code, I ship it, and I stay around when something needs adjusting.
At GitLab, I worked mainly on backend systems: APIs, GraphQL, and integrations. On larger initiatives, I led development end to end: I designed solutions, set technical direction, broke the work into smaller steps, and delivered it to production. I built production integrations (including Salesforce) and also worked on features that help GitLab teams plan and track work.
I developed integrations that imported data from several hotel reservation systems into the product. I worked with different APIs and data formats, developed frontend components, and was responsible for deployment and monitoring.
I worked on an application that pulled transactions from all user bank accounts and categorized them automatically. This included banking integrations across different APIs (Ruby/Java/Go), work on automatic categorization algorithms, and frontend work as well.
Development of a portal for universities (alumni network) and large companies (talent discovery and recruitment use cases).
